Description:

• Function: It is used to grasp, mobilize, and extract kidney stones from the urinary tract, including the renal pelvis and calyces, during procedures such as percutaneous nephrostomy and nephrolithotomy.
• Design: It features a long, slender, and curved shaft to facilitate access into deep body cavities. The jaws have an oval fenestration (opening) and serrations on the inner surface, which provide a secure grip on stones while allowing visibility and minimizing trauma to surrounding tissue.
• Material: It is made from non-magnetic, high-grade, durable, and corrosion-resistant surgical stainless steel, designed to be fully reusable and autoclavable (sterilizable).
• Handle: The instrument features finger-ring handles, which provide the surgeon with enhanced grip, maximum control, and reduced hand fatigue during delicate procedures. The one pictured appears to be non-ratcheted.
